PETRA Energy’s Zoo Negara’s CSR – Green & Groom project

As 2025 came to a close, PETRA Energy volunteers gathered for a year end CSR initiative at Zoo Negara Malaysia, taking part in the Green and Groom project on 13 December 2025.

Guided by the #PETRACares spirit, the day was about more than giving time. It was about showing care for the environment and animal welfare through simple hands-on actions. Away from their usual routines, our volunteers came together with a shared intention to give back and make a difference.

What truly made the project special was the willingness of the project teams to participate beyond working hours, with many bringing along their family members. Working side by side, the atmosphere was filled with teamwork, laughter and meaningful moments. These genuine interactions reflected the sincerity behind every effort and the strong sense of togetherness among our people.

As the day came to an end, it left behind more than completed tasks. The experience went beyond a clean-up and general upkeep of Zoo Negara, with some volunteers even having the opportunity to feed the fishes at the aquarium area. These close interactions added depth to the experience, turning simple actions into meaningful moments. The day strengthened connections among our team and served as a reminder that when we come together with care and purpose, even small efforts can create lasting impact.
